Admissions without examination (funding obtained)

General framework

Admissions “outside the competition” may be granted when a thesis supervisor, team, or laboratory associated with the doctoral school obtains funding corresponding to the salary of a doctoral student (minimum of approximately €1,768 per month until the date of the thesis defense).

Admission is not automatic but is subject to review of the application by the ED 656 CanBioS management in order to verify the suitability of the candidate, subject, team, and funding.

Submission of topics by thesis supervisors on the ADUM platform

  • Dates: without date restriction on ADUM
  • Procedure: thesis supervisors submit their topics directly on ADUM.

Reminder of the role of supervisors:

  • The thesis supervisor is responsible for the scientific direction of the thesis project and for ensuring that the thesis progresses smoothly with regard to the doctoral school, the institution where the doctoral student is enrolled, and the doctoral student themselves.
  • The co-supervisor is involved in defining the thesis project and the objectives to be achieved.
  • Consultation of topics: candidates may consult the topics posted on the ADUM platform before submitting their application.

Submission of applications by candidates on the ADUM platform
